Perfect Great Gatsby Cast!!!!! For 2008!

Perfect Great Gatsby Cast:

Daisy-Naomi Watts-- would be PERFECT! (sounds weird but watch King Kong)

Gatsby- Ryan Gosling (He has the ability to play a multi-emotioned, very deep character.)

Nick Carraway- Adrien Brody (He is awesome at playing the sort of blandness necessary for this character)

Jordan Baker- Nikki Reed. (She is amazing at playing the part of a suave beautiful woman.)

Tom Buchanan- Tom Welling (Great at being a manly man)

Myrtle- Emily Blunt? She kind of has that pretty but not too pretty thing going on.

A moment's all you can expect from perfection-unknown

Daisy= sienna miller
Tom= Josh Brolin
Nick= Tim roth

Daisy- Naomi Watts or Kate Hudson
Gatsby- Leo Dicaprio- I always pictured Gatsby being mid-thirties.
Nick- Toby McGuire
Jordan- Tough but Natalie Portman
Tom- Brad Pitt (probably a too small role for him)
Myrtle- Kate Winslet or Drew Barrymore

Has anyone mentioned Bradley Cooper as Tom?

I think it would be a great fit; Brad has proven to be a great WASPY type jock in Wedding Crashers.

I think Bradley cooper is a good idea!but this is what I have in mind:
Gatsby: Leonardo Dicaprio
Nick:Edward Norton
Daisy:Charlize Theron
Tom:Julian McMahon (Jonathan Rhys Meyers would also be good)

I know these actors are a bit old but they'd be great IMO

a lot of people saying naomi watts for daisy but isnt she a little old to play it now? she would be great when she was a little younger

also im not seeing natalie portman as jordan she hasnt got the womanly veluptiousness

Daisy - Rachel McAdams (she really hasd that endearing sweetness that makes every man fall in love with her)
Gatsby - Leonardo Di Caprio or Johnny Depp (both have that enchanting hier of mystery to them)
Nick - Toby MacGuire (has that naive innocence)
Jordan - Keira Knightley (she just seems right)
Tom - Tom Hardy (read it recently and for some reason i pictured Tom Hardy in the role)
Myrtle - Naomi Watts (if she was younger then daisy but i think she would fit well in this role)

I think it would be cool if they got those people. But thats just my opinion.

That's far from a perfect cast. I think Kiera Knightley or Scarlett Johannsen might make for a good Daisy, but I'm ok with Naomi Watts too.

But as for Gatsby, come on, Gosling? Apart from a few recent good ones like Drive, he's playing the same idiotic young man with a smirk and a pout that he thinks is so cool, as are his American fans.

I think the choice of Di Caprio for the 2013 remake is probably a good one, but my dollar was on Johnny Depp or Matt Damon. Di Caprio is another over-rated actor who can do mostly one kind of serious role (pick any of his last 10 movies, you can boil down the entire role to one facial expression.)
