He was always the smallest guy in the room. Was it believable that he always kicked ass?
Even Chachi ended up towering over The Fonz.

Fonzie really lost a lot of his credibility when I realized that any member of the cast probably could have cleaned Henry Winkler's clock if they got into a real-life fight.

Joanie maybe.

They might have been able to kick Winkler's ass in a real fight, but not Fonzie. Fonzie had a reputation for winning fights. Sometimes, the smallest guys are the toughest.

Fonzie was an alpha male. Alpha males claim dominance by intelligence, a dominant personality and total self confidence. Size does not always matter.

I know guys who are intelligent, self-confident, and could kick ass if called upon to do so, but who have no interest in dominating or leading anyone. Add being an overbearing blowhard to that list, and you'd have an alpha male.

The ability to make people walk away because they are bored with you and you see as a waste of time and space and then claim victory from it. That is the real talent of the average Alpha Male.

And if the above doesn't work. Push it to the extreme and show the other guy you are willing to get arrested and do time to prove you are better.
