So why aren't we overpopulated yet?

Back in the 70s, people kept talking about a population bomb and how the world would end up like this, yet it didn't happen. Why was that? You would think we'd see a Soylent problem in 2013.

Like a circle in a spiral, like a wheel within a wheel...

What makes you think we AREN'T over populated now? Every study I've read says we passed sustainable in the early 80s so everyone born since then needs to find another place to live. The most dire claims I've read say 2 billion may be sustainable. That means when we peak 4 out of 5 people need to leave the planet.

The practical end result is billions will die of starvation before the end of the century and likely 10+ billion since more are born every day. That's 30X the population of the US that will die in less than 90 years from starvation.

Soylent Green IS our likely future if we don't change and I mean today!

The world is overpopulated but it's been kept under control, though, for how long? Until some chaos rises, that is. Really hope I won't be in the midst of it and far away in the countryside.

Overpopulation is not only a scare-tactic, it's a myth. Basic math teaches us that you can fit the entire world's population inside the state of Texas @ 24,937.7 people per sq. mile, vs its current density 79.6 per sq. mile

Every person that served can be called a veteran, but not every veteran can be called a Marine.

To put that in perspective, 24,937.7 people per square mile is less than the population density of New York City.

We do. There are over 6 billion of us and counting.,There are already more people than jobs, food and fresh water will soon be more valuable than gold. The West isn't the problem as we breed in fairly small numbers, the rest of the world however?
