Other films with humanoid animals?

This is one of my favorite Disney films because all the characters have this half-human-half-animal look to them.
But so far, this is the only film I can think of with humanoid animals.

Can anyone else think of any other film with these type of characters?

I keep on mistakening movies like "The Loin King" of having this kind of style. I think cause the animals talk.*shrug*

Also, Movies like Madagascar, or Ratatouille don't count because the animals still play the roles as regular animals. Like living in a zoo, or being a pet, etc.

I assume you have exhausted all of the classic Disney and Bluth films. Some other anthromorphic movies to check out:

Brother Bear - a newer Disney film that never received much acclaim, but (imo) is actually pretty good and kinda fits into the anthro thing.

The Cat Returns - Studio Ghibli, Anthros and Cat-girls. is that what you were asking for? Studio Ghibli has a lot of other animal and anthro central films, too.

Tom Sawyer (2000) - pretty much unwatchable, but good animation...

Road Rovers TV show - find it on youtube. very "furry."

honestly, though, I cannot think of another movie where the human-like characters are so inexplicably animals, without any reasoning. I like it though, too bad it never caught on (yet?)

edit: and i want to second that Balto is my favorite +1

What about bedknobs and broomsticks. When they go to the animated world, the animals are like humans there. They have a king and play soccer and everything.

Also one of the movies with gene kelly, i cant remember the name, bu the goes to an animated world and a mouse is king.

The whole movies arnt like robin hood, but sections are.

Films/series with humanoid animals, full humanoids or the more "funny animal" styles.
Rock n Rule,
American Rabbit
Paws n Tales
Animalympics
the Raccoon series
Skippy the Bush Kangaroo
Kissyfur
Bamse
Bellfower Bunnies
Starship Saggitarius
Kaiketsu Zorori
Legend of Treasure Island

and myriad more and quite a few anime.

Include the talking animals and the list gets bigger.
Mossflower
Over the Hedge, etc.
Penguin and the Pebble

Include animals that talk and the list grows a bit more.
Watership Down and maybee a dozen others.

Include anything with a "Token Furry" and the list is immense.

Add anything with cat ears and the list now gets infinite. ahem...

You all have interesting ideas, but you are all forgetting the animated adaptation of David Copperfield that was shown on NBC back in 1993.

There is a version of the Tom Sayer(sp?) film that had animals playing the normally human cast. It was quite good.

I can think of some:

- Anything with Looney Toons
- Who Framed Roger Rabbit?
- An American Tail (sort of)
- Rock-a-Doodle
- Pebble & the Penguin
- The Great Mouse Detective
- Alice in Wonderland
- Thumbelina
- Once upon a Forest
- Chicken Little
- Kung Fu Panda
- Shark Tale
- The Secret of NIMH (they wear clothes like humans)
- Anything with Mickey Mouse & Friends

I don't know if "The Rescuers" counts, but other than that, I can't think of anything else.

There's a Sherlock Holmes anime where all the characters are anthromorphic dogs that are portrayed as humans. Here's the English opening http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rYuFHLezUyo

Ooh, I loved that theme song!

That show reminded me of this version of "Oliver Twist", where most of the characters are anthropomorphic animals. (Some characters, like Queen Victoria, were humans though, which annoyed me a great deal, even though I otherwise loved this show. I mean, make up your freaking minds, people!)

And there's also this version of "Treasure Island":

Chicken Little and Kung Fu Panda are the only films I can think of that fit the OP's description. Cats Don't Dance and Fantastic Mr. Fox are close but the animals reside in a world with humans.

Its also *very* common in Russian animated shorts and films, quite a few of Disney level quality, others ranging down the scale from there.

The Cartoon tv series' Redwall, Mattimeo and Martin the Warrior (awesome books by the way)

Using Robin Hook's approach, surprised you didn't mention "Zootopia"--though not based on a classic book, it's a DIsney story that uses humanizerd animals playing general humans, with Nick Wilde the fox even based off on Robin Hood (voice excepted..) and that's excluding human characters. Came out 2016 and dominated box office for several weeks.

By the WAY, Wwhatever happened to the poster before me.,..? He only posted a few times and left..
