When did you first get to see it?

Do you like Michael Ball or whoever?

I got to see the stage production in Denver and then almost immediately afterwords the film came out and I saw it in Denver also. Still one of my favorite movies. I've owned it in 8 track, cassette, CD, VHS and now DVD.

About 1 week ago. I am in awe and so are my kids 19 & 6. We go around the house singing "whats the buzz...."

District 9 for 4 Oscars!

I had the 8-Track, bought it when I was in 6th grade (about 1974). Honestly, I don't know WHEN I actually saw it... I've known the music since then. I know that I'd seen at least one (VERY GOOD) community theatre version before I saw the movie.... but I do wonder if I'd seen it when I was younger - although I didn't remember the bus part, there were scenes that seemed SO familiar...

I saw this movie sometime back in the 1970s with my parents.

I had been addicted to the music since the early 70s when I would be out with my parents on weekends riding around in the station wagon and my parents would be cranking the 8-track tape original concept. I would later sneak and play the tape while they were out...I was barely 10 by this time!

I think I have played the original concept albums 1000+ times, enjoyed the movie over the years 500+ times and have never gotten tired of it. This movie will live with me till I am gone and I thank my parents for introducing it to me at such a young age.

I first seen this on T.V. in the mid 70's when I was about 6. I have been fascinated and have adored this movie ever since. I recently got a chance to see it on the big screen which was an awesome experience. The movie is a must for the big screen it should be shown more. If it was it would find a new audience to appreciate it.

I remember my father listening to the record when I was very young, probably 3 or 4, and looking at the pictures of the record as we listened, and he would tell me the story. I found it very intriguing and had a million questions about it. The songs are all ingrained in memory. I can't listen to "Everything's Alright" without getting a little misty eyed because it reminds me of my childhood.

I saw the movie after the songs were already pretty much burned in my memory, but I was still very young, probably about 5 at the time. I remember thinking it was cool how they came and left on a bus, Judas was so cool. This will always be my favorite interpretation of the Passion story, since it's pretty much how I was first exposed to it.

Our children are old enough to read icculus.

I saw it with my parents in the early 70s and memorised the entire lyrics from the album at home (still wedged in my brain somewhere). When I was really young I thought they were saying "King of the juice" which seemed pretty cool, I mean hey I love ornage juice, apple juice, Kool-Aid, Hawaiian Punch, etc.

Who... is... this broken man
cluttering up... my hallway?

Saw this as a kid and it still remains today as one of my favorite movies ever. Unfortunately since I know all the words to every song I kinda can't sit and watch it casually (LOL)... it always becomes a solo Karaoke night with me, haha.

Greed is good... but I have never seen a BRINKS truck pull up near a cemetery.

I SO understand. Perfectly.

Youngest child glared at me across the room earlier and said, "Don't Sing!!!!!" (The exclamation marks are symbolic representations of the number of frown marks in her forehead when she said it. How trying it is, being my child, etc).

But how can I not sing during my *favourite* musical of all time?

Impossible.

First saw it in grade nine religion class.

I saw it the first month it was released. It had an overwhelming effect on me, and actually was the first step in leading me back toward Christianity, which I had abandoned 10 years earlier. That process took another 20 years to complete, but it started with this movie. It spoke to me in a way no presentation of Christianity ever had. My husband and I still watch it every Easter, and it always has such a strong effect on us.
The only other film I ever saw that had that kind of profound effect, causing me to feel like some of my most basic beliefs were being re-arranged, was "2001 A Space Odyssey."
