The 70's. When you can rape a woman if she doesn't do what you like.

That was a disturbing scene. And to be honest, I don't remember it.

Well in current times women can beat up men if they do something she doesn't like and then she gets in zero trouble and if he dares defend himself, which is perfectly legal, he's the one in trouble.

Let me explain, all, please. I watched it 3 years ago, saw the rape and wondered why I never saw it before. Or didn't remember it.

Hope that clears it up.

Kay: Senators and presidents don't have men killed.
Michael: Oh, who's being naive, Kay?

You don't remember it but you're commenting on it?

There's nothing in the movie to suggest it's okay to rape a woman. Eastwood's character is not a hero.

This is a story about vengeance exacted by a violent man of no good intent. The well-meaning man - the preacher - is ineffectual in the face of evil. This is about evil defeated by itself.

Eastwood is not meant to be admired or his actions imitated. He murders some men who are talking unpleasantly to him. I don't see anyone posting "So it's okay to murder unpleasant men?"

If you don't even remember it than what the f.ck are you complaining about? You don't think minor things like DETAILS of that scene would matter?

Apparently your reading comprehension isn't the greatest

I don't know if you know it, but the film isn't set in the *beep* 1970s.

And the woman wasn't raped for "not doing what he liked", either.
