I found a Widescreen Uncut VHS around, which made me think ANCHOR BAY! WHERE IS THE DVD!

shareLast I've heard, Paramount owned this film and had no intention of releasing the rights to Anchor Bay or Blue Underground, but I've also heard Blue Underground or Anchor Bay were in talks with Paramount about acquiring the rights. For all this alleged talking of course, the film is still in permanent limbo.

I agree that this is an "in demand" film that should be released on DVD. I also agree that Blue Underground is the perfect company for the release! Their output so far is stunning. I'm buying films I never heard of just because they're releasing them!
shareAbsolutely! I've never seen this film and it's the only film missing from my Dario Argento collection. Anchor Bay has picked up many of Argento's films and I hope like hell the pick this title up too. Anchor Bay always makes great transfers to DVD!

i think the most common dvd is a bootleg dvd copied off the french vhs. that's probably what's on e-bay. sound and pic quality is probably horrid, but you should buy it so you could at least see the movie.

i got a copy of the dvd on ebay. hasn't arrived yet, but it looks legit. there were a few more for sale last time i checked.
sharethe four flies DVD is ok. there is a lot of sound from the transfer and stuff like that. i thought the movie was great though

There are copies floating around with english subs but you gotta basically know the right people to get one.
It is easy to find the one without subs but the one with subs is really hard to find.

Anchor Bay needs to put this out on DVD. They are the best at putting classic Horror films on DVD.

They were the best. The transfers on recent dvds such as Dellamorte Dellamore/Cemetary Man and Argento's Do You Like Hitchcock have both been very poor. Shame, they used to be a great firm. Ever since Lustig left to form Blue Underground, Anchor Bay have gone badly downhill. I hope Blue Underground release an eventual official 4 Flies dvd. R.I.P. Anchor Bay. share
