shareIt doesn't need a remake.
No Day But Today. Today 4 U. One Song Glory.
How we gonna pay last year's RENT?!
Back in the early 2000's, Britney Spears said that she and Justin Timberlake were trying to get cast in a potential remake. No clue what made me think of that.
shareGod forbid a remake! In late 1990s the screenwriter, Erich Segal, said he had based the character on Tommy Lee Jones, whom he had met at Harvard when Jones was rooming with Al Gore. He said that he had modeled Oliver’s relationship with his father on the Gore family. This movie was also Jones' screen debut as a minor character.

yes I see Jesse Eisenberg too, and Lily Collins maybe.
you need a girl next door type beauty thats about to pull off a wise ass routine.
i like the lily collins suggestion, although im not sure she could pull it off.
anne hathaway is too movie starry for the role IMO, jennifer lawrence wouldnt be a bad choice.
someone convincing enough to be a hockey player jock needs to be the guy, channing tatum (maybe a little too old).
The original movie suited the times and the issues of the 60's. The story is a product of the 60's. If you remade this movie in today's time frame it won't work. There won't be any generation gap issues, class division issues, and questioning the Establishment issues. Besides nobody will give it a darn about a couple of Harvard students. It won't make an interesting story.
shareDaffy Duck
Petunia Pig
Spongebob Squarepants
Wiley Coyote
Foghorn Leghorn
Ali McGraw (who didn't die after all, but with the assistance of her doctors, faked her death to her pretentiously-tragically-poignant born-with-a-silver-spoon-in-his-mouth white-bread east-coast-establishment-bred boring lawyer husband so she could then marry a Flatbush plumber and enjoy life)
Enough with the remakes please...
