Worst movie Ever

Is it just me or has anyone else felt as though they've just wasted hours of their lives on this terribly bad movie.I always watch a movie to the end but this one was so painful that I could hardly stay awake. It is bland, dull and just totally uninteresting. I have seen films that are about red indians and the fighting that went on but this one was terrible definitely Hoffman's worst movie!

This is the first movie I saw, more than once, in a movie theater. That is, it was so good the first time, I went back a week later, and saw it again.

It was a very popular movie and had tons of people flocking to see it in the movie theater.

So it's just you L-gilchrist - it's just you.

Yep, it's just you.

I really liked the film. I understand we all have different tastes, but I think you have gotten all those negative replies by calling this the worst movie ever. Seems like a rather silly statement, even if you were to post that in the Plan 9 From Outer Space forum. We all won't love or even hate the same film.

I agree

It is just you. I can only wonder with a kind of sick fascination what sort of film you would consider good though it's probably better not to know. The prospects are horrifying, to say the least. The only logical conclusion is that you are a moron, possibly clinical, and that you should never, on any account, reproduce. The fact of your own existence is quite saddening enough.

It is definitely just you. I don’t know a single mature individual who hasn’t seen this movie and enjoyed it immensely. There are many things to love about this film from the brilliant performances of the lead actors and the supporting players to the historical sweep of the story line that chronicles an important, in many ways tragic, facet of American history. I first saw this serio-comic gem at the local theater when I was 16 and haven’t missed an opportunity to revisit it whenever the occasion arises. The 120+ year arc of Jack Crabb’s life through various phases from boy pioneer, to Human Being, to snake-oil salesman, to gunfighter, to storekeep, to muleskinner/cavalry scout, to Indian Brave, to town drunk, and all the other incarnations of iconic Western American characters represents one of the most impressive, comprehensive, and ambitious performances ever attempted by any film actor. Dustin Hoffman, whose career was just taking off at this point, carried off this monumental task with great aplomb. Aside from all that, if Chief Dan George’s (Oscar-nominated) performance as the tribal elder doesn’t move you on an emotional level, then nothing will. If the entertainment value and historical perspective of films like this are beyond your grasp, maybe you should spend your time watching something that requires less effort to appreciate and comprehend - like cartoons.

I'm 31 now & I first seen this movies when I was about 8 - 10 years old & totally loved it. After just watching again for the 1st time in many, many years tonight on TMC, I love it even more. Great story, great acting.
