I'd like to know where the castle is also. It seems like whenever someone mentions it or asks where it is, the reply is deleted. What's the deal? Someone fill us in. Thanks

Hey Jerryrip,

Here is some information about the castle that you requested. Follow the link

As a side note, here is a link to a 145 room abandoned mansion that was located about 5 miles away from the castle. We explored every room of the mansion over a few years during my teens and it was awesome.

Here is the link for the mansion

Exteriors were also filmed at Chestnut Hill College and the Morris Arboreteum.

The second movie, Where Angels Go, Trouble Follows, also utilized Germantown Academy, the old Rotelle's Frozen Foods plant in Springhouse, and Dorney Park.

My younger sister rented this 5 years or so ago, I forgot why, but I remember watchign it, and loving it. I bet if I asked my group of friends if they have ever seen it before, I would probably be rushed to a hospital... Hmmm, it would be interesting to rent it and froce my friends to watch it, especially since we go to an all girls catholic school that has been around for close to 150 years... hmmm.. wonder if they'll get a kick out of it... haha! I should ask Sr Harriet (one of the 2 nuns left at my school) if she has ever seen this...

oh, what'll make this even greater is we do have a smoking room in the basement of our school... well, it's below our cafeteria (which is in the basement) where some of our teachers will go down for smoke breaks... Hmmm, I really wish I was near I video store so I could rent this now!

"where angels go, trouble follows" was good, but I like the original better... Think it is hilarious! Oh, next time my friends spend the night, I am definetely renting this!

p.s. Is anyone else on this board in high school? Just curious if I am the only one or not...

Thank you glocklady for the info re:Chestnut Hill College exteriors used in this film. Not only did I graduate from Chestnut Hill College but I was a student at St. Mary's, which is where most of this movie was filmed,in 1966. I recall seeing Rosalind Russell in full nun wardrobe walking the grounds of the incredibly beautiful estate, which at the time was St. Mary's Home for Children. I also recall sitting next to Ida Lupino during a mass she attended with all of us children. It was a thrill and I felt like a star! This film and the sequel, Where Angels Go Trouble Follows, will always hold a special place in my heart. I own both films and enjoy watching them from time to time as they both bring back the fond memories of my grade school days. I am going to rewatch to find the Chestnut Hill scenes. Thanks again.

I love this movie. Mother Superior (Rosalind Russell) is the best, she is smart, funny and a good leader. This is crazy but she makes the profession (nuns)look cool! LOL Everytime I see this movie it makes me laugh and I love the scene after the girls put the bubble charms into the nuns sugar bowl. Watching Mother Superior stand up yell "Get them" like a prison warden, just totally cracks me up! The look on her face is PERFECT. Glad to see I am not alone in loving this movie.

My family and I also loved this movie (and 'Where Angels Go, Trouble Follows').
Growing up Roman Catholic, we could really relate to this film - especially my older sister, who attended an all-girls Catholic high school. Nuns were not alien to my siblings and I; two of my late father's sisters are Catholic Nuns, and my late mother's brother was a Catholic Priest - HOW Catholic can one family get!? LOL.

Anyhow, I love this film, and have very, very fond memories of it.

I remember seeing the sequel on the afternoon movie when I was in elem. school in the '70's. All I remembered through the years was the song that kept coming back in the movie. Years later, I bought this one, thinking it was the other one. I now own both, but love the first one! I watch them back to back on rainy days or when I have laundry or something. I think I'll watch TTWA this afternoon while I'm ironing!

"Get rid of the bird's nest."
"Sister Elizabeth...art."

"But Reverend Mother! I don't know anything about...(whispered)binders."

I don't know why anyone doesn't remember this movie. Between this, POLLYANNA, and THE PARENT TRAP, I was madly in love with Hayley Mills by the time this one was released. I think it was that English accent...drove me nuts. Rosalind Russell was nothing short of brilliant as the Reverend Mother and I loved Mary Wickes as the nun who drove the bus and wore the sneakers. They tried to go to the well again with WHERE ANGELS GO, TROUBLE FOLLOWS, but it wasn't nearly as good. I just love this movie.

Don't be too hard on WHERE ANGELS GO, TROUBLE FOLLOWS. It was obviously nowhere near as good as the original but it was a serviceable sequel.

Exactly. I'd expected it to be terrible, after everything I'd heard about it, but I wound up enjoying it--it's just good, campy 60s fun. And really quite startling, when you look at it from today's perspective (the kids are making bombs, and everybody thinks it's cute!).
