Am I the only one who noticed that when they were pulling the antibodies off of Racquel Welch, the actors were grabbing a lot more than antibodies? Particularly guilty was Arthur Kennedy. Or perhaps I am the only viewer with such an evil mind?

"When filming the scene where the other crew members remove attacking antibodies from Ms. Peterson for the first time, director Richard Fleischer allowed the actors to grab what they pleased. Gentlemen all, they specifically avoided removing them from Raquel Welch's breasts, with an end result that the director described as a "Las Vegas showgirl" effect. Fleischer pointed this out to the cast members - and on the second try, the actors all reached for her breasts. Finally the director realized that he would have to choreograph who removed what from where, and the result is seen in the final cut."
Must have been a hilarious shoot.
shareOh, I read a funny story about what happened when this scene was being filmed. See, during the first take, the actors were feeling somewhat awkward, trying to pry them off Raquel, and they were trying to be gentlemen and left the antibodies on her breasts and crotch alone. The director wasn't happy because he claimed that she then looked like a "Vegas Showgirl." So he tells them not to be shy and just get the antibodies off. On the next take, ALL the men grabbed her breasts, and and Raquel laughed at that. So then, the director had to coordinate who took off which antibodies, hehe.
