better than the grinch movie in 2000
i loved this cartoon
shareI had a bout of flu better than the grinch movie in 2000!
shareYeah even at 26 minutes long it is a great flick.
Remember the name, CHRIS HEWITT, because when I'm famous, you'll hear a LOT more of it ;-)
Of course! The new one is absolutely horrible I HATE it.
Damnit lightbulb! That is the exact opposite of what I wanted you to do!
i HATE jim carrey with a passion, so i thought this move was a billion times better than the 2000 version!!
yummy.......
Having my nuts bitten off by a tiger is better than Ron Howard's piece of crap version. The 2000 film was all about making money too. Did anybody ever point out the irony of remaking an anti-commercialism piece to make a quick buck and sell crappy toys?
Everybody who worked on the 2000 film should be sent to hell, where hot knives will be jabbed into their eyes and anus.
I hate him too even though we are both Canadian. I'd rather watch paint dry then watch any of his movies.
shareI like jim carrey a lot and even most of his movies but I still hate the 2000 version. yuck. that grinch costume was just awful. Haven't even seen that cat in the hat mess.
shareI liked the 2000 Grinch movie allright (saw it on Thanksgiving Day then by the way), but I've always thought this classic cartoon was still alot better as well. Like the other classic Christmas cartoons that came on TV every year in December, I watched it every year, and it was a big part of my Christmas. I looked foward to it, and saw it for the first time in the mid 1970s, then every December from then until the mid 1990s. I thought it brought the Dr. Suess book to life very well, and the animation and narration was all great. I also thought the ending was very touching, with the Grinch seeing he could not take the real meaning of Christmas away from the Whos, and turing into a non Grinch (so to speak) because of this. It was very obvious that he meant to steal the commercial aspects of it from them, and the theme was that they still cared more about the religious part of it. That would be similair to real life in small, old villages, which Whoville was meant to represent, and among truly religious people, though in reality most children of the 1900s and on would probably really be unconsolable if someone/something really did as he did, as toys on Christmas morning are the highlight of the whole season (and possibly whole year) for them. It's ending was very similair to the one from the Charlie Brown Christmas special, just one year ealier, of religion over commercialism at Christmas. I will admit I have never been very religious, and I did have a huge liking of the whole commercial aspect of Christmas until the 1990s ended (so what the Grinch did in this would have really effected me until then). Now Christmas means very little to me at all, I'm just a summer person (and very liberal, but also charitable-if I were rich I'd probably brought the Whos their things back for them!). But still a grat special to watch every December, and I hope to see it again on DVD soon.

The movie in 2000 sucked worse than anything. They changed the ending. And it was gross, I hate gross movies.

^^My new favorite vid. WATCH IT!!!
I love this movie too and the 2000 live action film didn't hold a candle to this.
shareThis cartoon is one of my favorite Christmas movies ever! I did like the 2000 movie, but I have to say that this is much better. But, for those of you who didn't like to '00 one, I need to tell you, if you haven't seen the Cat in the Hat live one, don't. It was horrible. They totally screwed up the Dr.Suess world. I like to compare The Grinch to that, so that's what makes it good in my book.
Maybe he knew you wouldn't believe the truth, even if he told it to you?
