No. But I loved it when either of them were at the helm. Scotty brooked no bullshit and made a keen captain. Smart but not Spock smart.

I would put Scotty up there. You gotta be pretty smart to get an engineering degree and be able to know the engines of a ship like the Enterprise inside and out. I would say that if they were on Jeopardy together, Spock would clean up because of general knowledge, but if there were an engineering category, I believe Scotty would sweep it.

Not as smart but Spock even acknowledged Scotty was a much better engineer.

Scotty was highly intelligent, but didn't go around with a rod up his arse like some kind of professor. If I was stuck on a planet and had to depend on someone to figure out how to survive and escape, I'd rather have Scotty with me than Spock.
