Favorite Monkee?

I used to say Micky pretty much on autopilot, but I've been watching a lot of episodes lately for the first time in years, and I can honestly say I can't choose now. They were all great; I can't even eliminate one. The temptation is to say Mike isn't as good on the comedy end, being all stoic and grouchy and Mr. Serious Musician like he is, but when he would deliver a particularly good one-liner in that stoic delivery and that rube accent, he could knock it out of the park. And check out his work as the princess in that Fairy Tale episode from season 2! Davy was hilarious with his dry, charming English wit, Micky of course was a madman, and Peter's baffling goofball schtick is always funny. And on the musical side, Davy had an amazing voice, Micky was a great showman, and of course Peter and Mike were great musicians. I seriously can't choose. They were all seriously underrated both as a band and as comedians.

Peter - always has been, always will be, by the power of those merry eyes, that dimple, and his sweet demeanor. Mike's drollery and dark good looks ran him a fairly close second back in the day, though (mid-80s when I was a teenager and they were on Nickelodeon).

Like everyone else, I've been immersing myself in YouTube videos, and Micky is jumping out at me as an amazing showman with a golden voice, and Davy was just an all-around delight.

They were all brilliant, and I owe them thanks for the last of my childhood. :)

Definitely Micky!! He's so goofy and adorable and I love his accents!!!! <3 But Mike is a close second! I love his Texan accent and his sarcasm. xD

But of all these friends and lovers, there is no one compares with you. <3

I like all four. But I really connected with Mike's wit and laid back style.

When I was a teen watching the reruns, it was all about Mike. I dug his angry young man gimmick....and he wore the hat. He had a sultry look about him!

While I love them all, I'd have to go with Mike.

Ironically, when I was younger, I was often told I reminded my friends (several of whom were big Monkees fans) of Mike, his personality and such. I guess I've always identified with him, somewhat?

And I do think he's very attractive.
