Any younger fans of this series?

I was born in 1960 and watched Dark Shadows on its original run as a kid. I introduced my husband to it in 1991 as it was coming out on VHS. We watched it together in the early 90s, and he really loved it. Our plan is to watch them all again once we're in our 70s, which for me starts in 13 years. We should be retired and living in another country by then.

I was wondering if there are younger people who appreciate this fun, ridiculous and endearing series that I found so horrifying when I was a child.

My mother was addicted to this dark soap. I found it to be very amusing, the way she would update me with the latest developments. I watched it occasionally and thought Barnabas was a great vampire.

Me! 28-year-old here (born in 1989) who recently got into this show and is now hooked!

But you realize that you are exceptional human being, and I say that as someone who knows you a little bit. I’m not surprised that you embraced this show.

I was born in 1954 and started watching it when I was 12. My sister, who was born in 1965, watched a few episodes and starting having nightmares!!!

Too funny! Your sister and I are the same age. In my earliest years I used to require hospitalization pretty often so got a fair amount of attention from the nurses. Usually when DS would be on there was always at least one nurse in my room and we'd end up watching. I didn't care just as long as they brought me some chocolate milk! The subject matter never bothered me a bit. :)

It wasn't shown here in the UK at the time, but I became addicted to the paperbacks by 'Marilyn Ross' and had a pretty good collection - including the adaptation of the first movie, with its 16 pages of stills from the film. I've seen many episodes now of course. The quality is... variable... but on the whole I enjoy them. And Frid was perfect casting.

I was a young fan of it during its original run in the late '60s and early '70s. I watched it with my mom, who was addicted to it.
