It's impossible not liking this movie, either you get it or you don't. Before judging this movie for it's apparent lack of glamour, you have to think of the social and cultural context to wich it belongs. Besides the fact that it stands against hollywood movies of the same era, wich were all dream like fantasies, faster pussycat is a subversive movie, either in it's visual aspect, witch has almost a minimalist quality to it, either in it's story, because it puts women in the role of the strong gender.
This movie rocks!

I love this movie

Quite possibly one of the greatest films ever shot!
The music, women, go-go boots, cars, dialogue, and most importantly the man behind the camera Russ Meyer!
It all blends together in an etheral smorgesborg of gratuitous greatness.

I had a VHS copy of this movie that wore out..from all of my punk friends in Philly watching it in the mid-80's over and over. I had my Temple U. asst. Prof. (a self proclaimed Marxist--I thought he would like it) over to watch it and he hated it because the women were stronger than the men. Class vs. gender indeed!

Loved this movie. Loved Tura Satana, whatever happened to her?

It's 3:53 in the Morning in San Francisco, and I've just come back from a Midnight screening of Faster,Pussycat!Kill!Kill!, with Tura Satana in attendance. She was on stage for a Q and A session, shared stories, is looking for a publisher for her book, and she signed our friend's motorcycle tank. The show was CRAZY. I've been to a lot of Midnight shows, but this took the cake. If you are a fan, you wish you were there.
She's got a website at turasatana.com and she'll have a comic book out...now? as of 1 month ago.
Elvis asked her to marry him. She said no. She gave birth to Tony Bennett's Child.
Like I said...CA...RAZY.

This movie rules! I think the Cramps cover of the main song is what got me interested in this film. The one liners in this are absolutely clever.

I'm a fan too. I first saw this film on video and I loved how brash and crazy the whole thing was. It's a total B-movie, but unlike most, there was a talented hand that crafted it and it shows.

Russ Meyer seemed like kind of an unsophisticated redneck as a person, but he had a great talent for real entertainment. Lori Williams is my favorite pussy cat.

Saw it for the first time today! Russ Meyer is a hero! A brilliant, bold, brash piece of moviemaking that had me laughing and thinking... I love it! I'm off to watch it again!
