A very HOT Jane Fonda
I knew Jane Fonda was "rather" attractive in her day, but having only just seen this film for the first time, I was blown away by how unbelievably sexy she was in this role.
Just a thought

The hottest Jane Fonda movie is Hurry Sundown where she played a very horny southern woman. Of course she was also viginal hot in Tall Story.

Either Barbarella or Barefoot in the Park where she dances around in her bra trying to seduce Robert Redford. Hilarious!

shareShe is a very beautiful young woman in this film, which is one of my alltime favorites.
Check her out a few years later in "Klute", another great movie, and a very different but no less sexy Jane Fonda.
Gotta say top three women who were super hot back in the day: Raquel Welch, Ann Margaret, and Jane Fonda.

According to some background I heard on TCM yesterday, Ann-Margret was the first casting choice for Cat Ballou. When she turned it down, the studio offered it to Jane Fonda, who was already living in France with Roger Vadim at the time and did not want the part. He actually convinced her to do it, saying the script was quite good and she could have fun with it. I'm so glad he was persuasive. I love this movie, and the scenes between Fonda and Mickey Callan in the train berth and later in her bed are HOT!
sharePlanet of the Apes chick was hot as hell too.

Have you seen Barbarella? If not you should rent it, you'll probably love the opening credits!
I agree after rewatching my taping of it the other day and being joltedly reminded of it. Jane was never lovelier or more appealing than in this movie, certainly more so than in that stupid Barbarella, in which at least she kept her dignity (a feat in itself). This was before Hanoi Jane, so let's give her a break. (Even there she was right about U.S. involvement in Vietnam, if wrong about siding with the Communists).

...who were supported by the majority of the Vietnamese people. It was better than siding with the government of South Vietnam who had no popular support and had been run by a nepotistic Christian clown who persecuted Buddhists (despite them being the majority of Vietnamese) in favour of the very small minority of Vietnamese Christians. Even if these communists were ''bad'', you'd still have to make a choice of supporting the lesser evil in such a case.
