i think this movie is terribly underrated on here (should be at least 8.0). or is there a better western comedy? i can't think of any. the only comedy movie i can think of which is up to par with Cat Ballou is One, Two, Three by Billy Wilder (IMO his best comedy).

I can't believe no one has mentioned the excellent "The Duchess and the Dirtwater Fox" (1976).
And only one person has noted the funny "Texas Across the River" (1966).
Both are superior to the heralded "Blazing Saddles," which I also like.
Haven't seen this film in a long time, but I remember the scene where Lee Marvin in on the horse, drunk, leaning on a building. Cracks me up.

I'm gonna have to watch "Support Your Local Sheriff" again soon, it's been a long time, James Garner is awesome. "Skin Game", another Garner movie someone mentioned is another excellent darkly humorous western.
