I Dream of Jeannie (1965-70) vs Bewitched (1964-72)

I Dream of Jeannie. Definitely (although I enjoyed both).

Bewitched

Bewitched by far. I enjoyed both but Bewitched was just better.

Jeannie. It had such a groovy atmosphere. Cool visuals. Groovy music. Tony test piloted rockets, drove home in a cool Pontiac convertible in coastal Florida to a modest house with JEANNIE!

Darrin put up with Sam's stuffy and nosy relatives. He always had something stuck up his you know what. His job at the ad firm seemed nothing more than tedious. Everyone had booze in their hands all the time just to get through the day..
Jeannie's universe was so much better loL

I dream of Jeannie. I found Bewitched to 'mean spirited" with Endora.

Jeannie was always cooler and more fun.

Betwitched is more for older people - I was just a kid when I watched both shows in re-run form hence the older people perception. I actually still think that now, Bewitched is more serious.

Bewitched was far better. It had more involved plots with more supernatural characters - Endora, Uncle Arthur, Sabrina besides Samantha as the reluctant housefrau. Jeannie just had the one genie and she played more the sex kitten.

Since I don't really acknowledge Bewitched anymore, I would say I Dream of Jeannie was better. It is at least based on known folktales of powerful magical beings called djinn. There are no stories or folktales with witches and warlocks coming anywhere close to what is depicted in Bewitched.

I Dream of Jeannie has an actual historical connection to the ancient stories making it much better in my view.
