Mary was a witch, I think we need to admit this.

Mary Poppins was a witch. No other way could it explain the things she was able to do short of being magic. While she was a good witch, she was still a witch. I think to deny this fact any longer is living in denial.

Yes, she was a good witch--not that there's anything wrong with that. For those who doubt, here's a blog by someone who is very familiar with Travers's various writings. She makes a very convincing case:

I think the OP needs to admit that she needs to get a life. Denying facts about fiction is living in denial? Scrap the get a life idea - seek psychiatric help.

reply

She does need to get a life....Mary Poppins, just because she is a MAGIC WOMAN, is NO witch (now Sarah Silverman's one-time squeeze's scrotum, that's another story>)

she is pretty witch like. Much more so in the books, where she is scarier than in the film.

She was a Jedi. That's why Disney bought the Star Wars franchise.

She was not. Just a strict, stressed nanny who was happy to work with the Banks kids. And for Mr.Banks. Her creator was a bitch.

Amanda Bynes is hot and Lindsay Lohan is not.
"Jewish People driving German cars"-Sarah Silverman.

she was never stressed. angry sometimes, but not stressed.

Mary Poppins is definitely a benevolent witch. She has most likely lived for many centuries. Those who refuse to recognize this are in childish denial.

reply

Yeah, she usedthe same charm spell to stuffher bag with huge objects that Hermione used in Deathly Hallows I. They should do a film about Mary’s school girl days at Hogwarts.
