The best Hammer film I've ever seen.

I loved "The Curse of Frankenstein," "The Horror of Dracula," and their sequels. I've also seen "The Two Faces of Dr. Jekyll." Hammer has always offered fantastic films, but this one stands above them all, from my point of view.

It's certainly one of their most atmospheric non-vampire pictures.

The Plague of the Zombies is another one strong on atmosphere, no doubt. I thought it was The Reptile that was shot on the same sets as The Plague of the Zombies, but I could be wrong. Or maybe they both were.

' 2 out of those three were shot on the same sets though.. I think LOL.'

That should cover it!

Likewise! 👍 I've been a Hammer fan for donkey's years. Here in the UK Optimum have released quite a few of their movies on DVD (R2). I own some of them. The Brides of Dracula was a bitch to get hold of for years. It was finally released on DVD a few years back. I don't know what the holdup was, but interestingly it was put out by a different company (ScreenGems). I was glad to finally get that (probably my favourite 'Cushing as Van Helsing' performance).
