No women
Apart some extras inside the train, not one single female in this. Could this be made today?

shareOf course it could! However, it would be revealed midway though the film that most of the cast were Trans and LBGTQ friendly. Then instead of escaping they could just snuggle with one another and live the remainder of their days in a prison camp that was turned into a love making camp for the LGBTQ cause. See, it could like totally still be made today, but it would be more inclusive.

Yes, as it's mainly set in a pow camp in WW2
share1. Literally ANYTHING "could be made today". The only thing that keeps certain things being made, are the loud, whiny, but SMALL groups of assholes who scream about utterly pointless, trivial bullshit.
2. It's a PRISON film, first and foremost. Where do you expect all of these female characters to pop up? A MILITARY prison nurse, perhaps? That would be like complaining that a movie about a POW camp, in WWII, in Europe, only features white people, because all the guards are German, and the vast majority of POWs are British.
