With today's sensibilities, Emmerich will be free to depict T.E.Lawrence as openly gay, whereas Lean only hinted at the relationship between Ali and Lawrence.

I'm guessing there will be women in it even if they were not a part of the story. It's as if they think we can't exist in our own place in society without them.
