Others like this?


I'd consider this one of the greats of horror films. What others would you recommend that are on the same level of psychological horror?

For me, The Others comes to mind, though that movie wasn't too scary to me, just creepy and sad.

also starring Deborah Kerr, along w/David Niven, David Hemmings and Sharon Tate. Great gothic tale, very reminiscent of "The Innocents" in many ways. Well worth checking out.

I'd recomend The Devil's Backbone as well as others previously mentioned in this thread. A Tale of Two Sisters is also excellent, but avoid the remake - The Uninvited.

I agree though, that Les Diaboliques is possibly the closest in tone - definitely one you should check out.

Burnt Offerings immediately comes to mind. It is one of my favorite horror movies ever.

For me, The Innocents is up at the top of the list closely followed by the TV version of The Woman in Black (1989), The Haunting (1963) and The Changeling (1980).
