Pauline Kael called Some Like It Hot "the greatest comedy since sound came in." However, my top 5 choices for AMERICAN films are:

1. Citizen Kane
2. Gone With the Wind
3. All About Eve
4. The Gold Rush
5. King Kong (1933) and The African Queen
