What is your favorite episode?

Mine is "Two." About the only thing this lacks, that Twilight Zone was famous for, was a twist ending. But I think it was just a beautifully told story, and I think it's all the more impressive that it only features two actors, and one of them utters a single word of dialogue. The story is mostly told with visuals, and non-verbal acting from both performers, and I think it's brilliant. I also think it's a near-perfect commentary on human nature: how destructive and dangerous we are, but how capable of transcending that we can be. The characterizations, the actions, the motivations of both the man and the woman in the episode are pitch perfect, and the ending is hopeful, without being sappy, and without failing to acknowledge that the two protagonists are only in their situation because of tragic human failure, and the whole episode serves as a warning of how terrible it would be if we destroyed our civilization, but how we might just possibly manage to carry on as a species if we did.

i have more than just one favorite episode.

Without question, it's "Walking Distance" from season one. An absolute winner. Haunting, dream-like, and not an episode that folks under 35 could fully appreciate, I believe. B.H's scoring is terrific, as is Gig Young.

So many great episodes to choose from.

A World of Difference for me.

Love those narration ends lines:

The modus operandi for the departure from life is usually a pine box of such and such dimensions, and this is the ultimate in reality. But there are other ways for a man to exit from life.

After Hours is one of the best, also,
It’s a Good Life.

"The Execution" the doomed psychopath is perfectly played by Albert Salmi.

Great typecasting as he ended up shooting his wife in real life, then turning the gun on himself.

Just caught one in this marathon i've never seen before that was absolutely delightful. "A World of His Own" where this writer can just invent people. A few fun twists and surprises and the acting is intoxicating. It was like being dropped right into the middle of a top notch play. Whole thing takes place in this one room. Instant favorite. I like the ones where the Twilight Zone isn't a cautionary tale. Like some folks are quite at home and comfortable there. I find that so interesting.
