Is Not Paul Newman good looking in this film?
For some reason the woman liked Elvis-style more than Paul in those days...

I read or heard somewhere that they were originally going to film in black and white and the director said, "Are you crazy? The most famous eyes in Hollywood can't be in black and white!" (His cerulean blue and she of the famous violet orbs.
I'd like to add that besides the astonishing physical beauty that Paul Newman (still) possesses, he's a lovely human being and still tremendously in love with his talented wife, Joanne Woodward. Those things make him even hotter (to me) than his physical presence!

"Nobody's perfect."
When I first saw a movie with him in it(Cool Hand Luke) I was in awe. He was so gorgeous, and talented...then I learned of the year of the movie and my jaw fell so far. How could he be 82 now? In this movie his amazing blue eyes were my main focus. Wow!, he is the reason why I look for guts with his style of blue eyes...beautiful.
Crying is just an excuse to blow your nose on someone elses shirt.

LOL. I feel like watching this again. I'm so glad I own it. :) I agree with all what a hottie. Great to know he's still very much in love with Joanne Woodward, I think they're a great Hollywood couple even today. I never watched Cool Hand Luke which is a cult or classic or both saw in the store for $ 5.00 and it was new, gonna buy it, hope it's still there.
even as a fellow male, i have to say he did look very handsome in that film. it's the only film i personally think he did BUT he and taylor make a beautiful couple
shareTo borrow the term from Kath and Kim: Paul Newman is a great hunk-of-spunk!
He is sooo handsome! In this film and so many others. I sat there thinking - if he and Liz Taylor had kids - they'd be mighty good looking!
A very attractive couple - and wern't they fantastic?!
"Everything in this room is eatable. Even I'm eatable. But that’s called cannibalism."
His mini biography quotes him as being the man with the most famous blue eyes in movie history and I wouldn't contest that at all! He had, and still has very striking blue eyes. Of course his blue eyes weren't the only good thing about him; he was lean and in shape, and he had those very 'chiselled' facial features that wouldn't look out of place on one of those idealised classical sculptures. In fact he still looks pretty good for a man past the age of 80! His acting ability added to his overall presence; had he just been a no-substance pretty boy actor I for one wouldn't be at all inclined to watch any of his films. Actors like Paul Newman are harder to come by these days.
Hector Barbossa; now that's a pirate!
Yes, they maybe liked Elvis a little bit more. But don't you think that some woman also liked Paul or something like that? I think so.
Peace in the world and best wishes :P
I agree, Mr. Newman has a depth and far-away look to his eyes, a chiselled face and physique that are reminiscent of a classical statue. In addition, the pillars that frame the entrance to the house reminded me of Elizabeth's recollections of a former time as spoken by the actress in Raintree County. Finally, Ms. Taylor has frequently played the understanding girl deeply in love with the sensitive man, a theme as old as the old world classics.
shareBoth Paul Newman and Elizabeth Taylor never looked more gorgeous than they did in this movie.
shareTo say Paul Newman is incredibly attractive is a gross understatement. He was perfect. Something about the chiseled bone structure, the perfect tan, the sparkling blue eyes, the lean muscular figure. Mmmmmmmmmm....
I got some bad ideas in my head...
