Does anyone out there know if/when this movie will be transferred to DVD? If not, why not?
I saw this as a kid on TV and I've always wanted to see it again, but have never been so lucky.
I hope it will be transferred to DVD soon. I've been waiting for many years to once again hear Van Johnson say, "Come IN, Mr. Evans!!" :)

Everyone beware! The US DVD release from the 20th Century Fox Cinema Archives Collection is a pan-and-scan transfer of this CinemaScope movie. Why Fox would do that on a line oriented exclusively towards collectors is one of the great mysteries of the universe, but just a warning to everyone. I don't know if there's a DVD version that presents the film properly or not, if there is, someone else on the forum can give it a shout-out and let me know.

the mystery is what the movie means. thats why fox wont show it widescreen.
