I didn't realize until I read some commentaries that this was a remake of an earlier film with Tyrone Power and Myrna Loy, but now I definitely want to see that one. Will be interested to see if Myrna's character is more sympathetic than Lana's, who it's really hard to root for. Lana looks great as always though; her white party dress is a standout.

The original is the better one. Especially the ending, which is the original ending from the novel. It will blow you away. The Rains Came 1939. Myrna Loy and Tyrone Power.
