the bingewatch is complete
all 269 episodes. i had not seen any of these before.
shareAnd how do you compare it to The Twilight Zone?
shareThere is no comparison because they are completely different shows.
I suppose you compare tacos to pizza.
They are not carbon copies, but they have similar elements. Both are anthology shows from the same era. Both have twists. Both are in black and white. People sometimes confuse episodes of AHP an TZ. Should I go on?
shareNo, because they are different shows.
By your way of thinking, tacos and pizza are foods. They can be spicy. They are both ethnic foods. Therefore they should be compared.
Shall / go on?
Son, I'm just curious about what he prefers.
Some people prefer pizza over tacos.
(I have a feeling I won this one).
"Son?" LOL, well, if I'm your son, you must be 85 or so.
But I digress. You didn't just ask which show he prefers, you compared them - you. Even when there's no frame of reference.
In other words, you have won nothing.
I love calling people son. It pisses of everyone for some reason.
Perhaps, but I meant how he compares AHP to The Twilight Zone... in quality.
Personally I think both are great, but The Twilight Zone is #1 of all time.
You didn't piss me off, you created an image of yourself as a crotchety old man, and I was amused...hence "LOL."
Back to the subject: I agree that TZ is the more popular of the two shows, but my vote goes to AHP, which had a higher ratio of good or great episodes. Serling "borrowed" from every writer preceding him (Ray Bradbury loathed the man), and too many TZ's are repetitive and preachy. For every classic ep, there are three duds, some so bad they are unintentionally laughable.
Just a few more reasons why the shows can't be compared.
Now if you'll excuse me, there's someone I need to go put on my ignore list.
Class dismissed.
>> you created an image of yourself as a crotchety old man
The irony...
Why the second part of your message? Why not just say they are different and be done with it? One of the reasons the world is so unpleasant today is because, online, people who disagree with other people always feel the need to throw in an insult after stating the disagreement. You wouldn't do that in real life, so why do it online? You also invalidate your original point because people just notice the snarky remark made at the end.
Don't take this personally, btw. This is really for everyone (myself included) who thinks this way of communicating is acceptable.
I would say TZ is more classic and less predictable. With AHP you get to the point where you can guess a lot of the endings.
AHP has more variety, comedy, drama, crime, etc.
TZ is more thought provoking, but that is an element of sci/fi.
I give the edge to AHP because of the intros.
I've probably seen about half of them all. It's really neat show to watch. I thought it was gonna be all murder mysteries, but they really do a little bit of everything. I'd say about 3 out of 5 of them are definitely worth watching. I especially enjoy how often the evil characters get away with their schemes in the end, so long as you ignore Hitchcock's closing remarks.
