Liked the new hair?

Didn't see any topics on this. I myself found her haircut to be a huge improvement over her princess style. I might even go as far as to say it is the perfect Audrey Hepburn hairdo. Arguments? :)

I liked it, and many many others did too as her short cut was all the rage around the world. Apparently there were scads of Japanese girls and women who did the Audrey look.

At first it looked too chopped off and severe but with a face and personality like that I warmed up fast to it.

I thought her short hair looked much nicer than her long hair. And with a face like that she can certianly pull it off!

I also think it made her look and behave in a more mature way. With the long hair she was winding herself up and throwing a tantrum in the palace before she snuck away and when she returned with her shorter hair, seemed a completely different person. The days events probably changed her as well though.

Obviously it's her face that makes it work. Most women need a good deal of styled hair to make themselves look prettier (best example is probably Jennifer Aniston, who would look terrible with short hair), but with Audrey it seemed like the less hair in the way of her face, the better.

With short hair, it emphasizes her beautiful striking features. You're not distracted by the hair, so you are captured by her lovely eyes and delicate bone structure.

Her new style makes me really wish I could pull off short hair, but I can't. Audrey had the beautiful, delicate features and the long neck to pull off virtually any length or style, and as the barber said, she looked "cool." There was an air of sophisticated fun about her while she sported that new do.

I loved her haircut in 'Sabrina' overall, but in this movie it added to her bubbly personality.

I think the short hair looked wonderful on Audrey.

Actually, I thought the longer hair at the beginning of the movie aged her a bit. She looked younger and fresher with the short locks - she could pull it off!!!

I much prefered Audrey with long hair. There was a recent poll in some fashion magazine that showed men overwhelmingly prefer long hair on women while women prefer short hair on women. For what it's worth, I'm a dude (and predictably so when it comes to taste in hair).

When she first gets her hair cut I didn't like it at all. On the barge when the barber parts it in the front, I thought it looked much better. Later that night back at Joe's place when she has it combed straight, I think it looked its best. But for me, Audrey always looked her best with long hair. The scene in Breakfast at Tiffany's where she's just wearing a shirt & looking thru the refrigerator... that's my idea of the perfect woman.

Which I'll never get. Especially since men don't wanna wear long hair usually for US, so why on earth should we have to? Not to mention the fact that a lot of women's face shapes aren't suited by long hair.

Yeah, also if you look at animals in nature, the female almost always has shorter hair/fur/feathers. My guess is (in mens' preferences) it's a cyclical thing. The old actresses & models from the 40s-50s had short hair & it was sexy. Then around the 60s-70s, actresses & models started having long hair. In the 80s it was just "weird hair" for everyone. Nowadays I don't know what's up. As far as what women prefer in men, it seems to be floppy emo hair, which is just a repeat of the Beatles 60s look.

Cherokee bat the best thing for you would be a mask to hide that face. Long or short hair you are a sin to look at.

also i would add to that is that many men still hang onto the old fashioned notion that long hair equals femininity and short hair means women want to be like men. a laughable notion. many men don't realise that many women prefer shorter hair because it frames their face better and makes it easier to deal with. i think if men would have such long hair, they would want to chop it off too, in annoyance of having to take so long in looking after it

Well, they certainly haven't asked me! In general I prefer short hair on women, I also like Audrey better after her haircut.

As a princess, definately. Its suitable. I dont mind the short hair but in general I do like the longer/shoulder length hair look, with whatever style (ponytail, pigtails etc)
With that said, yep the shorter hair was nice for Princess Ann.
