Ricky tried all kinds of tricks to get the fur coat back from Lucy. He mentions how she would take it off when she goes to bed, or when she does the dishes. She doesn't. Does Lucy lock the bathroom door while she's showering? If she didn't, Ricky could easily sneak in, and take the coat. I wonder why that idea was never thought of?
shareNever thought of that possibility! Maybe because back then the networks were really squeamish about showing or hinting anything regarding a bathroom.
Of course later on there were a few scenes that took place in the bathroom, like in Bonus Bucks when Lucy took Ricky’s pajamas that were hanging on the door (with the bonus buck in the pocket).
With the fur coat, I think Ricky could have just waited a few days. Surely the novelty of the coat would have worn off and Lucy would not wear it all the time.
Yeah, that's a good point, but you never know with Lucy. I actually felt bad for Ricky in this episode. First, he gets yelled at, then she keeps complimenting him and won't let him explain the truth, and then she almost gives the guy a stroke. She lies to him that's it's their anniversary, and he buys her a bunch of nice things to make up for the fur coat. Poor guy!
