Fans of the movie- How old are you?

I hope I'm not coming off as creepy or anything haha. But I'm just curious. I'm 17 and I've been watching this movie over and over throughout my life. My mom introduced it to me when I was about 3 or 4 years old. It's remained one of my all time favorites. I think I've seen this movie more times than any other.

I first saw it as a young boy, growing up in the mid west, and it made an indelible impression on me .. i've always been fascinated with sailing ships and the men who drove them at sea, but i do believe that Capt. Daniel Gregg was the inspiration for me going to sea myself .. he was everything that i wanted to be .. between commercial fishing vessels and ships, i've spent most of my life at sea .. some nights on watch, i would think of this movie and how i felt when i watched it .. i'm 60 now and all i have are my memories .. i just watched it again on TCM, and it was a very emotional experience for me .. i've never heard of, or seen the tv series..

I first saw this on AMC before they switched formats. I'm 59 now and it is my favourite Gene Tierney movie.

This is one of my favorite films. I first saw it on TV (maybe it was on TCM or AMC) when I was but a wee girl, aged 13-14 (in the 90s) and instantly became mesmerized with Gene Tierney and the story. Funny because I was never quite keen on Rex Harrison but found him enjoyable to watch in this role. Now that I'm 30, this remains one of my favorite films! So you're not alone in falling in love with this film despite being young!

I have loved this movie for a long time. It's got to have something to do with the penchant I have for sea captains in turtlenecks. (see also 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea.) I have this movie on VHS. Oh, and I'm 52.

Did you ever work at Pizza Hut? No, but I ate there a lot.

I'm 62 and first saw this when I was 11. I was fortunate to grow up in the NYC area and we had 12 tv channels. At 4pm on CBS was the Early Show and at 11p was the Late Show, both programs featured wonderful old movies. We also had WOR-TV, Channel 9 which had Million-Dollar Movie.

I've seen so many thrilling films, many of them film noir, but also astaire and Rogers, Abbott and Costello, Rebecca, the Grapes of Wrath, DorIs Day and Gordon MacRae, I could go on for pages.

I've recently purchased GAMM on itunes, and it brings back so many lovely memories, and I just love Rex harrison

I am 63 years young. I have watched this movie my whole life. I watched the TV show when it was one. I love Rex Harrison in this role. I was pleased that the TV show had Edward Mulhare, a perfect match to Rex. To top it all off my art teacher in high school was the spitting image of both. Even wore a pea coat.
I just watched it last night on TCM for the upteenth time and still cry at the ending. What a fabulous love story. Great cast of actors.

I am a 30 year old man and I have been watching this movie as long as I can remember. It is a favorite of my mom's and I would watch it with her when I was young. We had a copy on vhs and it wore out. About 5 years ago I found it on dvd and was so happy to have found it. I love film and in my opinion this is one of the greatest romantic films ever made. The chemistry is perfect, the settings and music are atmospheric and dreamlike, the cinematography(Oscar nominated)is gorgeous, the characters are memorable, and the ending is one of the most beautiful yet bittersweet(her final interaction with Martha) endings ever put on film. What I love most about this film and these characters specifically, is they never change each other or even try to. They are who they are and they accept each other. Truly, something missing from today.

I'm 78 and saw this as a first-run movie. I was 10 at the time and didn't really get all the nuances. At that age I was frankly bored. It wasn't until I saw it later that I got to like it. I always thought that Gene Tierney was gorgeous and I really liked the ending.
