Petition to to take this crap off of IMDB top 250.

This movie is a good psychological case study in group think.

Any filmmaker who knows what they're talking about knows, structurally, this movie fails. The execution and dialogue are dated, wooden and occasionally ridiculous. It's a fact that the art of filmmaking and the audience have evolved since then. Nobody in their right mind would make a movie like this nowadays. There's no way in hell anyone can argue this. It might have been good for it's time. Fine. Let's move on. Take this crap off of IMDB top 250 where it sure as hell does NOT belong and let's MOVE ON!

"Any filmmaker who knows what they're talking about" probably studied CASABLANCA in film school, along with that other boring chestnut, CITIZEN KANE. The makers of these films never went to film school - they merely invented film-making.

In my case, self-absorption is completely justified.

I guess they invented the art of filmmaking but not really the craft of it. Which I guess is part of their appeal.

I have to assume you think only movies made in the last 10 - 15 years should be allowed in the top 250.
