I looked Omicho market up online. It just looks like an ordinary food market, and it looks very clean and sanitary as most places are in Japan. I mean, first, he declares himself President for Life; may as well rename himself a modern-day Emperor of China. Second, he treats various groups, particularly Christians, like a disease to be stamped out. Third, he wants Hong Kong for its money and wants to conquer the island, despite what the people there want. Fourth, he doesn't care at all about sanitation (such as with the wet markets) in the poorer parts of his country, particularly if it's an issue far away from his presidential palace. Finally, he's probably tired of our president calling out his country for swindling us in the trade dept. for decades and doesn't like what has been done to balance that out, so he has his top scientists "accidentally" let a virus loose that caused everyone in the world to shit bricks.
In China everyone calls him Uncle Xi. He commands that level of respect.
