What a total douche.
What if someone challenged a young Tyson....and Tyson had the same reply? Would he be ridiculed, or would he be considered a confident badass? Double standard? It's all part of the hype surrounding fights. It drums-up the intrigue. They're probably already trying to hype up that fight......and that kind of cockiness and retort is exactly what fight hype is all about.
