"It's YOUR fault if you get fat"

reply

Yeah, unless you have some kind of thyroid disease is say it's always you fault if you get fat

reply

Wait, is society fighting back??

reply

Perhaps we should be fighting back that on the fact that it is cheaper to buy a frozen pizza (on sale) than it is to buy a head of lettuce.

reply

Agreed.
Where do we start?

reply

You need to convince families to stop buying processed junk altogether, it's not hard to eat healthily on a budget, most just don't want to spend their time preparing.

reply

Not necessarily. Some babies are born fat and do everything they can to lose the weight but their body doesn't allow it. It's like people who over eat, never exercise and don't gain a single pound.

reply

It's true that some people have it harder than others.
But even in those cases, with more effort, they can still lose the weight and be healthy.

reply

have you seen her "Lizzo eats" videos? It's basically her in her kitchen putting all kinds of processed, high calorie junk food in a frying pan, garneshing it with some extra fat and slurping it down.

reply

I'm not defending Lizzie specifically, but I disagree with the woman putting blame on all fat people.

reply

fair enough

reply

100%.

Everyone is capable of losing or gaining weight. Eat less and you WILL lose weight. No one is exempt. Yes some people have it easier than others and some medical conditions cause you to retain more fat and water weight than others. However no medical condition makes you morbidly obese.

I am aware there are some people with a medical condition that makes them always feel hungry so they eat all the time. I recall a nearly 300lb child (maybe 10 years old) had this. Would throw tantrums and gurn if they weren't eating because their appetite regulation was completely fucked. I sympathize with those people but it still comes down to the fact that they're morbidly obese because they eat a lot.

Naysayers, hit me up with your pics of obese concentration camp members. Thanks.

Obese people have eating addictions and are often ignorant to what a normal diet should be like. My grandmother is obese now and all she does is eat all day and say's she can't lose weight and that the flyers that the dieticians give her that tell her to eat less to lose weight are a load of bullshit. Complete willful denial. The amount of obese people who claim they don't eat much is hilarious. My grandmother does it too yet as I said all she does is eat all day. Okay, her dinner is no bigger than a typical dinner... but then she has a second dinner and like three lunches. Shits whack.

I also have two obese cousins. They've been obese since they were around 10 years old. However both of them had spells where they lost a lot of weight and got into good shape.

Cousin 1; He was on the dating market and wanted to look good. Went from being morbidly obese to a healthy weight. He eventually got married and is now back to being morbidly obese. He was recently told to lose weight because he's nearly developed type 2 diabetes. He has lost weight since then (still obese though).

Cousin 2; Took an interest in MMA. Started competing. The guy got in great shape, proper lean and muscular athletic shape. He's now back to being morbidly obese.

My point here is that they've been fat almost all their lives but when circumstances arise they can and do lose weight. They relapse but this is the unhealthy addiction to food aspect. No different than an alcholic relapsing and getting drunk every night of the week after spending 6 months sober.

Obese people wear their addiction. Everyone can see it.

Most fat people want some excuse for being fat, something to blame outside themselves. Until they admit that they're fat because they eat too much and exercise too little, they'll stay fat. The first step is to stop making excuses and accept responsibility. Or, just embrace being fat and make the best of it.
