Career starting to lose steam

Looking at her most recent and upcoming roles they don’t seem as interesting or prominent as the likes of Midsommar or Little Women. They are either minor secondary roles (Dune, Oppenheimer) or lead roles in weak and underwhelming films (We Live In Time, A Good Person). She has also been doing a lot of voice work, which is fine on its own, but it has gained prominence in her filmography after 2019. Not a good sign.

There is also a lack of nominations in the big awards like Oscars and Golden Globes. I fear that she may have reached her peak and from now own will just be floating on a level where she does small secondary roles in big films and lead roles in low budget less prominent films. She won’t be a big movie star much less a box office draw and by the looks of it neither an awards academy favorite.

She is basically doing lesser work than the likes of Sydney Sweeney at this point. When a few years ago she was being hailed as the next Kate Winslet.

How are you gonna sit here and act like being in Oppenheimer and Dune: Part Two is somehow trending downwards? Two of the biggest and most highly regarded hits of the past few years. She'll be one of the leads in a Marvel blockbuster in 3 months time to boot.

She'll be one of the big acting talents for a good few years yet. She just turned 29 last month.

As for some of her leading performances not making a lot of money or getting attention at awarding ceremonies. Go back and look at the filmographies of some of the most highly regarded actors and actresses from the 60s, 70s, 80s, not every role is gonna be some major hit or get nominations. That's life.

She is not doing lesser work than Sydney fucking Sweeney. Madame Web and Immaculate for fucks sake. Give your head a wobble.

Nailed it, well said. Also she was recently listed at #10 on a list of the 60 greatest actors of the 21st century. Every single film she is in the reviewers praise her performances, she is on a completely different level than someone like Sydney Sweeney and will end up as one of the greats in a matter of time.

Standard fresh young starlet hype. Out with the old, in the with the new. Thunderbolts bombing is pretty much gonna pave over her hollywood ambitions.

Indeed, they are trying to set her up as the new Kate Winslet and Scarlett but it is not going to work.
