People forget or don't know that marijuana is still a Class 1 Felony in the US.

So....whipping someone for fighting back against their rapist isn't more barbaric? Or being buried up to your neck in dirt and having people throw rocks at you until you die isn't a barbaric punishment? Say what you will about the Russians; but they ain't got nothing on Saudi Arabia. China and North Korea do some pretty barbaric things to criminals as well.
