Pity Trump didn't know she wouldn't show up. He could have not shown up and it would have been hilarious to see them try to justify Trump not showing up but giving Harris a pass.
And yes, Harris is a DEI hire. Biden made it clear he was going to name a woman of color, not the best qualified person. If you set DEI goals for the hire, the hire is a DEI hire.
