They brought it up, but you said you couldn't think of anyone better, except maybe Swift. Sounds like you're part of that consensus.
This is faux bad girl, who sings about boys, self-doubt, and the inability to parallel park -- and calls their record "Sour"

It's bubble gum, but bubble gum these days includes a few curse words. Stickers on your face and your tongue out is the type of thing that resonates with younger girls who think that's rebellious, while not knowing what bad really is -- but it's cute that they think it is.
That's a far piece from Euphoria that has more foul language, violence, drug addiction, sex, and nudity in any random 10 mins (and criticized for glamorizing it) than the silly school girl drama Rodrigo sings about. I don't think parents mind their kid listening to Rodrigo, or going to her concert with stickers on their faces, b/c none of it needs to be taken too seriously. But Rue and crew on Euphoria are showing what they pray isn't going on with high school kids. As an adult, one makes you smile while the other makes you wince. Throw in Rodrigo's impenetrable "aww shucks" demeanor, and you have a good candidate.
