Its probably for diversity reasons. If she were fully white she probably wouldn't have a job. And I think they are trying to cash in on her Disney following. Coming from Disney is worth more than actual talent. For example Selena Gomez can't sing but she has a music career because she came from Disney. Its really annoying though to see her getting jobs where I can think of multiple actresses that would have been better in the role. Like the Greatest Showman. Its kind of an insult to the people who worked so hard writing the script. They spent all that time on a project and then have is ruined by a bad casting choice.

Why are you so hurt that a person whose color your don't approve of has work and is in the media?
