I'll admit, I'm scared Kamala Harris might lose the election....

As Harris herself admits, she and Tim Walz are the underdogs. The race is still very tight and like a coin flip at this point.

These last 2-3 weeks can't come any sooner...and even if Harris wins the electoral college, who knows what chaos might ensue afterward....

Nobody cares. Stop posting politics.

Tell that to the people on the Donald Trump page.

reply

Ignore them it's a waste of your time and effort. Go watch a fun movie like Monster Squad or They live. Politics is just as boring as football.

reply

Bit unfair Billy, since you yourself are chiming in. Plus aliens’ post is incredibly mild in terms of the usual political tussles we see here.

Might be better to ignore the thread yourself if you don’t want to see political posts. Either that or contact the mods if you think politician profiles should not be available for people to post on.

But lay off aliensalmon, he’s a kind and well loved forum member 🙂

Thanks man!

Indeed. We may have disparate political views, but there is no more knowledgeable and fun TZ and other SciFi poster!

Boo hoo. Nobody cares. Stop posting politics.

reply

No.

Stop reading it.

reply

You're right. Ignoring all of you till February. Your politics are pathetic and a fungus on MC.

reply

Well, the upcoming election is a big deal to many people, but if you want to be a petulant child about it because you came here on your own volition to degrade others for discussing it, go right ahead. Just quietly it makes you look more unhinged than those who just want to share their thoughts.

reply

dont post here.

".and even if Harris wins the electoral college, who knows what chaos might ensue afterward...."

I have concepts of an idea on what might happen.

reply

Just to be clear, I am a Harris supporter. It's just I'm really concerned with the state of the race right now.

reply

Yeah, I follow. It's gonna get ugly whatever happens. Just the way things are. We're either in for a redux of January 6th or a 'Dictator for a Day' (re:for life) depending on the result.

reply

And if Trump wins count on the electors being threatened with death if they don’t change their votes to Harris like what happened in 2016. It’s really scary what the left will do should Trump win.

reply

I think right now, Trump is expected to win. Polls have been trending in his favor this entire month, which is the only time it matters. In 2016, after Trump won the first time, leftists rioted, so don't be surprised if that happens again this time.

I will also say that as a Trump supporter, we had to experience Biden's presidency for four years, and we got through it. In other words, elections may be disappointing, but life goes on.

reply

I wouldn't worry that much. Trump might challenge the results if he loses but he's not in the same position of power that he was in 2020.

People act like it's the end of America if he wins (or loses) and that's just nonsense. This nation has been through a civil war, two world wars, the worst terrorist attack in human history, numerous riots and uprisings, multiple presidential assassinations and much more. And we're still here... I think we can survive a 2nd Trump presidency.

Although, I do think Trump is going to win. Honestly, Kamala is a worse candidate than Hillary. And we know what happened in 2016.

reply

What concerns me is the relationships he has continued to build with the likes of Putin while he’s been out of office and not monitored as closely. He has made no secret of his disdain for NATO and the Ukraine and I fear what secret deals may have been concocted since he left office.

To me it feels things could get a lot worse and he could drag America, and its allies, into a situation that puts us all at risk.

reply

Ohh my god, not this crap again. 🙄

reply

Sorry I thought I put my thoughts forward respectfully and without sarcasm (I’m trying to change!!)

There have been 7 confirmed phone conversations between T and P since he left office, so it does make you wonder what the fuck they had to talk about and how many unconfirmed conversations they have had.

Or do you mean that the American president having a close friendship with a tyrant and war criminal who has threatened nuclear attack on several occasions shouldn’t concern anyone.

Simply, what is “this crap” you’re referring to?

reply

Russia conspiracy is nonsense. Every presidential candidate over the last 50+ years speaks with foreign leaders. It's a nothing burger.

But this is how it starts... looks like the dems will go with russia 2.0 if Kamala loses.

As far as what Trump will do in regards to Russia.... we can only go by his record, tensions with Russia were low when he was president, under Harris they're high.

I don't expect Trump to do anything too crazy in regards to Russia. His mid-east policies are more concerning. But again, whatever he does couldn't be any worse than it is under Harris.

reply

Who knows, maybe you’re right about it being totally above board. Maybe they were just swapping recipes in those seven secret conversations. I guess we’ll never know for sure.

I can’t help it if it concerns me, and I’m not saying it to score any type of political points since I’m not even American. But as a reasonably well informed citizen of the world I would prefer the leader of the Western World not to have any personal relationship at all with a monster who bombs innocent civilians on the reg.

reply

But you would cozy up with Kamala Harris (and Joe Biden too perhaps), who, in a way is bombing innocent women and children in Gaza right now.

The war machine is actually something Trump did try to get away from when he was president. So, if you don't want to see random wars, Trump is your guy. I do think the democrats have become the party of war. That's not to say there aren't plenty of republicans that are fanning the flames of war too but at least Trump acted like he wanted to create fewer enemies while president.

Working with dictators is never a good thing but sometimes it is necessary in order to preserve the peace. Barack Obama cozied up with Russia too and Hillary introduced the "reset button" with Moscow. If you're not sure what that is, google it...

Again, before you pass judgement on Trump, you should take a pretty serious look at the other side first. The US government has a long history of working with treacherous people.

reply

That is such a load of crap. Trumps “relationship with Putin” has long been proven to be a far left conspiracy theory all the while the left ignores the shady business dealings that Brandon and Kamala have with foreign governments.

Kamala even told Israel not to retaliate against Palestine because it would hurt her in the election. That is literally what Trump was impeached for (colluding with foreign government to influence election)
