I'm a straight guy but even so I'm bothered by how repulsive this dude looks.
He's often unwatchable because of his ugly features.
Yet, incredibly, he never plays as Quasimodo or some similarly deformed characters. Instead, he's almost always paired with decent or hot looking females, playing the attractive guy.
Why on earth???
Tell me why people get into this kind of nonsensical upset over someone's opinion about someone else both of you don't know and never will. Is Heisenberg really a better handle than bananaman? I sure don't know.
Hahaha, I said something similar and really got slammed for it. I agree though he looks like the aliens in the movie Arrival somewhat. He's a normal guy, and I thought he did a great job in "Marriage Story" and "The Report" and "BlacKKKlansman" ... so maybe that is his draw ... that he is not a moviestar super-good-looking guy. It's funny how he ever got to be so big in the movies.
Apparently from this TED talk he makes kind of a big deal about being a patriot and a Marine, but then we find out he was discharged and never was deployed. I don't know what to think of that, nor why it is relevant unless he is using it in some PR kind of way.
I myself feel he could be a decent character actor, but he's always in the role of a way better looking person and that ruins my perception of his performance, like it makes it less believable in spite of his good work. In marriage story for instance, they kept saying "you both look so good". WTF????
Scarlett was at her ugliest in this film, even so she was waaaay out of his league.
In real life people would be saying "he must be rich/very charming/hung like a horse/whatever other reason to explain this uneven match" but in these scripts, apparently, he's a very good looking man that any hot woman would dream having.....
Not the ugliest, but definitely ugly. And I mean uuuuugly. He's got a weird shaped nose, patchy beard, weird eyes, a newly discovered shaped head, mop-like hair, teeth that look like they're giving gang signs and a crooked smile. If he wasn't a celebrity, I don't think any girl (or gay dude) would look twice at him.
He's a good actor, seems really funny in personal appearances and when he hosted SNL and he joined the U.S. Marines after September 11. Unfortunate you find him so repulsive but I'm a huge fan of this dude!
Didn't realize he had a TED Talk but just watched it and thought it was great. He makes a big deal about being a marine because it WAS a big deal to him. It never feels like he's bragging and he's open about his injury and rather humble about his experience. This talk was also about the program he found called Arts in the Armed Forces as a way to give something back and bring joy to the military. Even bigger fan of his now.
Whether he was deployed or not this man signed up to risk his life and for him to be criticized in any way for it is pretty deepressing to me.
Lots of people serve without making a big deal about ... especially those who were deployed. What's the difference? He's an actor and needs publicity. Your cheap flag-waving attack on me for expressing and opinion is what is depressing. Always trolls like you patrolling the Internet to make sure to attack people who disagree with your and defend the powerful.
It's hypocritical to talk about the camaraderie in the military and then make a big deal about entertaining them when what they really need is backup in their jobs, and then to talk about it while the grunts he left behind and getting injured or killed or have to kill others. It's despicably fake.
No, not despicable and not fake. He was discharged because of an injury. I've never heard a marine that knew him (or otherwise) say a bad word about him. And I'm not sure once he was back in civilian life what you expect from him but he's free to give back (or not) in any way he sees fit.
Also I haven't seen anything to suggest he's a republican so not sure where you get off making that assumption.
You are an immature kid. If you have something to say, when you decided to grow up and stop being a schmuck, you don't have to explicitly say you disagree and attack someone for their OPINION, you make your own argument and if it is good it will stand, or more likely there will be some people who agree with you and some who agree with me.
It's also a bit naive to think that any Marine would get into this scrap. That only happens to Democrats like John Kerry was a war hero in Viet Nam and yet Republicans still attacked him, like the even attacked John McCain.
When you are so clueless instead of insisting you are right you should go find out about the world. You, go join the Marines yourself if you think it is so great and need to defend. Then come back and I will respect your point of view a lot more, but I doubt at that point you would brag about it.
I'm too old to join the marines...far from being a kid. Also not clueless. Please point out where I attacked you? I didn't. You on the other hand called me a troll and a schmuck and an immature kid (despite me being middle-aged), I didn't call you any name. I just stated my opinion.
An 18 year old willing to put his life on the line to fight to preserve the freedoms that so many of us take for granted isn't repulsive to me. Quite the opposite. Saying it's repulsive says a whole lot about you though.
