What the average Ukrainian is saying now ...

I initially supported the war against Russian invasion, but as I saw my neighbors dying, my country getting destroyed and having to live without a job or electricity - I don't think it was worth it to hang on to these 4 oblasts (states); especially after I learned the truth that my supposedly democratic government was at war with our own people, the ethnic Russians in Donbas, who just wanted to be autonomous or neutral and left alone.

I just want this war over and I don't care about the Donbas, just end this war and let us have our lives back. This war is pointless and the more I learn the more I see my country has having been manipulated by America - at our expense, while we Ukrainians pay the price.

Yeah, sure, it is my opinion. Did that no occur to you, or you think you're making a big point? Everyone is getting tired of this war and its idiocy, and you don't think that transfers to the Ukrainians?

All Russia wanted was for and end to the Ukrainian military action against Ukraine's own people - the ethnic Russians in the Donbas. They pursued this and made it know to the US, to NATO, to the world. Even NATO and Ukraine agreed to it in the Minsk agreements, and then they renegged and continued the killing and shelling.

Year after year Russia tried to negotiate and talk and the US and NATO ignored them - even Trump. This is not a partisan thing, this is a Deep Military State Dept. thing. Americans were not asked or told about this until the BS propaganda started flooding us in the Media and online starting a little less than a year ago.

In the election in which Zelensky was elected he promised to end the fighting in Donbas .... that is why he was elected. That's what the people wanted. He lied big time.

It was not an unreasonable ask for Ukraine to give political autonomy to the Donbas. That is what Russia asked for. Now we have been claiming Russia want to take over the whole of Ukraine and then Europe, when anyone who has seriously followed this knows 100% that is not what Russia's intentions were, and there is no way they could do that anyway. And for what?

How would you feel to have your country held hostage by America to fight a war against Russia. Ukraine is wrecked and will be further wrecked and hundreds of thousands are dead and they will most likely lose anyway. The US is responsible for pushing this starting in 2008.
