The US has been at war with Russia forever, and has been vilifying Russia for
many decades, and pushing an evil image in the media. Just watched a bit of
the new idiotic Jack Ryan movie that has to do with Russia.

I have no use for faux Leftists that are unable to digest new facts and think. This
war has nothing to do with Ukraine's democracy or even it's independence or
border integrity.
Ukraine never had border integrity. Ukraine was a war with Ukrainians who had they
not been ethnic Russians adjacent to Russia would have probably gotten a lot of
sympathy from the world - like the Kurds for example.
To support this war and waste time insulting Putin is foolish.
If Russia doesn't win the US will go on harass Russia further, all the while attacking
China - and all because the US cannot run its own system in a just, fair, sustainable
or democratic way.

As an American I hate to say it, just like I hated to see what my country did in Vietnam, and Iraq, and many other places supporting thugs like the Nazi Nationalists in Ukraine. But putting a smile and and plugging one's ears is not the way to deal with this.

Trying to frame Zelensky as George Washington defending democracy just does not fly.
The US began interfering in Ukrainian elections back almost 20 years ago with the support of Victor Yushenko, remember the guy who was supposedly poisoned by the Russians? He did such a bad job he was voted out in favor of the non-partisan Yanukovych who wanted neutrality and trade with both Russia and the EU.
That was not good enough for the US so he was removed from power violently by the nationalists, almost killed, along with the Maidan revolution and the burning to death of Russians in the Trade Union Building in Odessa.
Then came anti-Russian laws. Discrimination.
Then came military shelling of the Donbas until Feb 2022.
The OSCE who reported on the hostilities in Ukraine reporting constant increases in shelling which appeared to be softening the Donbas for an invasion which was when Russia began its SMO, special military operation.
All the while Russia tried to solve this peacefully - with a solution of making Donbas NOT PART OF RUSSIA, but allowing it to be neutral and still remain with Ukraine.
Then was the Minsk Agreements, signed by Ukraine - and ratified by the UN - and never implemented by Ukraine.
Meanwhile all this time America was pushing against France and Germany to get Ukraine into NATO.
Those are the facts, not trolling, or shilling.

A good interview to watch about this is Oliver Stone, who did the Putin Interviews that were very interesting and produced or directed some documentaries about Ukraine.

Stone is one of the few people in the world who has actually been there and talked to Russians, and was in the American military in Viet Nam, who knows what he is talking about and reports accurately and fairly.
I really cannot stand Oliver Stones entertainment movies ... like Scarface, or some of the others that are violent. He's done a few good ones, but his documentaries are all very good.
I'm looking forward to the Nuclear one I just heard about.
