From 2009 to 2011 she was the biggest pop star in the world. Taylor Swift today did not have the Gaga level of 2010 hype and fame IMO. Gaga was huge and you would have had to have been around back then to understand her fame. It was bonkers how popular she was.

But she fell off so fast it was crazy. Her third album was an absolute disaster (art pop) and after that it all seemed to be over as far as her pop carer and "huge star" status goes. Next couple of albums did abysmal too. Though her 2020 album appeared to be an attempt to return to the 2010 era and sound it was just too late and it wasn't going to gain ground like before.

I remember when she was the 'new' face of pop. There was this mystery, people didn't even know what her real name was.

Her acting career (besides Joker) has seen her regain some of her status. But yes - after the Born this Way era, her music hasn’t been going over too well. Her only recent hits have been collabs with Ariana Grande, Bradley Cooper, or Bruno Mars. Her solo music isn’t clicking
