No, they don’t. Words mean things, we need to use them accurately. Somehow you missed that the whole point of her post was that Carano was pointing to the German treatment of Jews in this time as a crime. That’s not anti-Semitism; that’s the opposite of it.

If Carano’s post was anti-Semitic, you should be able to explain how, and you can’t. Instead you just say “the ADL says it, and they’re a Jewish organization, so it must be true.”

Again, you missed her point, which was that long before Jews were being sent to the camps, the Nazis had set the stage for this by demonizing the Jews. The real atrocities can’t start until the groundwork has been laid, so let’s stop laying the groundwork against non-leftists. Again, the comparison may be hyperbolic in this case, but it’s not anti-Semitic.

No she didn't. Not in the sense you are saying here. Her exact quote was "Jews were beaten in the streets, not by Nazi soldiers but by their neighbors... even by children. Because history is edited, most people today don't realize that to get to the point where Nazi soldiers could easily round up thousands of Jews, the government first made their own neighbors hate them for simply being Jews. How is that any different from hating someone for their political views."

The text was accompanied by a photo of a screaming, half-dressed woman, with a bloody nose, running in terror away from a group of people who were chasing her, none of them in military or police uniform, and one of whom is clearly a juvenile, and who is holding a stick in his hand.

So, what, exactly, did she say that was inaccurate? The text was clearly referring directly to the photo, which indeed showed German civilians brutalizing a (presumably Jewish) woman.

In no way does she deny that soldiers in Nazi Germany beat Jews, she's clearly stating that it was not only soldiers (or police, or Gestapo, or SS) that beat Jews -- we all know they did; this is common knowledge, and she even goes on to acknowledge the soldiers were the ones who rounded up the Jews and sent them to the death camps. She was clearly using a specific photo to illustrate that the Nazis had turned ordinary German citizens against their Jewish neighbors. Which they had.

And, of course, she is very, very unmistakably pointing to all of this as a great crime.

So tell me, what is anti-Semitic about any of that. Explain it to me. Don't even try pointing to the ADL again. You explain to me what is anti-Semitic about that.
