I am not a Trumper. It's very clear she is. I've defended her against trolls and cancel culture stuff in the past. The trans stuff was particularly ridiculous. But she's crazy. She's a conspiracy theory spreading, science denying, Parler using nutbag.
And if I'm being honest, not good looking anymore. She's fat.
I'm not boycotting her or refusing to watch anything she's ever been in. I'll probably still defend her if she's attacked unjustly, like with the trans things, but I can't be a fan of her anymore. She spreads lies and promotes baseless information.
She feels like there are too many Jew in high ranking positions in New York. She feels that The Jews run and own the media and that the news we all see are manipulated to tell a predefined narrative. She also feels that America is donating too much money to Israel. Her claims are the the war in the M East is only to serve Israel and not America.
-all untrue of course. Israel have no interests in the US.
She has been clear that she is skeptical about covid19 and very skeptical to the escalating need for vaccines. She is also skeptical about the news and google/ youtube censorship.
However her statements have been retracted or altered or even deleted after posting. She’s frustrated, as soon as she mentions the Jews she is shut down by trolls and media.
You don't have to defend her. She's an adult. you could just ignore her social media and focus on her TV and movies. I do that with a plethora of actors because their opinions don't matter, their skills do.
I still don't get why anyone thinks these meat puppets opinions matter. Sure, I can agree with it, but I don't spend money on their products because of their personalities, I do it because of their talent. The same goes for directors. I love John Carpenter's work because he uses themes that transcend his opinions. I love John Cusack movies (up to Grosse Point Blank) regardless of his online stupidity. He played fun characters in a great way. Jamie Lee Curtis is an awesome actress. She's an online weirdo, but she gave us great performances in True Lies, Trading Places, Halloween (1978, H20, and 2018), and A fish Called Wanda. James Woods was epic in Videodrome, John Carpenter's vampires, and the hard way. Bette Midler is a Halloween staple due to her performance in Hocus Pocus. I love James Cameron's movies. I could care less about his opinions on politics (and avatar because that was all spectacle with crap characters). Javiar Bardem has some insane opinions. He's an amazing actor who's performance in No Country for Old Men still freaks me out.
Gina Carano is not a great actress from what I've seen. But she was good in Deadpool. Why would her personal opinions matter?
It wasn't a criticism, it was a list of examples. My point stands, each person I listed says stupid things, that doesn't matter because their talent is more important. Even though i see stupid shit coming from them, I focus on their talent more so than their twitter personality. Are you able to do the same, or are you too caught up in the opinions of a person who has no impact on your life?
Yep, it's a fact of life that everyone says something stupid. Sue me.
Now answer my question, why does the opinion of someone who has no impact over your life matter? Why do you feel you need to defend her? Are you scared that she doesn't think 100% just like you? It would seem so.
Yeah and "progressives" threw a hissy fit because Christ Pratt didn't join in.
RDJ is not a slave to either political party. He's not officially said the words, "I'm an Independent", but sure sounds like he is:
"However, when asked about the quote in a 2015 interview to promote Avengers: Age of Ultron, he denied that his previous statement reflected any longstanding beliefs on his part, and stated, "I wouldn't say that I'm a Republican or a liberal or a Democrat." Downey serves on the board of the Anti-Recidivism Coalition."
