Swift endorsement turns more voters from Harris than it attracts

Taylor Swift’s endorsement of Vice President Kamala Harris and her running mate, Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz, may turn more voters away than it attracts.

A new post-debate poll from YouGov released Saturday found that 8% of voters said the pop superstar’s nod is either “somewhat” or “much more likely” to convince them to cast their ballot for the Democrat. But a whopping 20% said they are “somewhat” or “much less likely” to vote for former President Donald Trump’s opponent now that Swift has spoken.

Most of the respondents, 66%, said Swift’s endorsement made no difference on how they will vote in November.

Another backfire.

"They're eating the dogs, the people that came in, they're eating the cats, they're eating the pets of the people that live there, and this is what's happening in our country, and it's a shame."

Trump said it was true because he saw it on television. 🤣

This is what a backfire looks like.

reply

You must have missed all the locals reporting to the city council about it.

reply

You're right. I missed those. Did you see it on television like Trump did? Post links to reliable news sources to back up your claims.

reply

It's a fact . Their local news has been reporting it for weeks. That's what happen when millions of illegals are invited to live here with free healthcare, driver licenses, food stamps, etc. KaMAla wants them all to come. The only requisite is they have to vote for her.

You're right. I missed those. Did you see it on television like Trump did? Post links to reliable news sources to back up your claims. I saw it somewhere doesn't count.

I think people are seeing this and thinking it's what he was talking about:

However the lady in the video is an American citizen and not an illegal.

This was also an isolated incident in Canton, OH, more than 170 miles from Springfield, OH.

reply

We're talking about council meetings with people complaining about pets disappearing. On too of 20.000 dumped on a small city.

I’m not sure what you’re trying to say, here. Are you saying 20,000 pets are missing?

reply

Yes. People have taken this and run with it. Regardless, it's incredibly disturbing. That poor cat 😢

reply

Yep.

reply

Actually, it’s a fact that JD Vance just made that up. There are no pets being eaten in Springfield, OH.

reply

No, he didn't. Once again, liberals being liberal with the truth.

reply

He said in the interview that he made it up in order to get the press to pay attention to him.

He said this on multiple news outlets. It doesn’t matter whether you think the outlet is liberal or not.

He said it … On video … He said it on video.

JD Vance said on video that he made it up in order to get attention.

reply

No, he did not. Also multiple residents have been reporting it. But the corrupt city council doesn't care.

reply

I know you want to believe that what you said is true, but it simply isn’t.

JD Vance said that he made it up, and I proved it with my link. There are multiple videos, from multiple News outlets with the same proof.

You have zero proof to back up what you said.

reply

Jealous much? The Holistic one is going downnnnn.

The issue isn't whether her endorsement will sway folks who made up their minds. It's that young folks who follow hip, trendy music and still get excited about pop culture are the demographic who are often sidetracked with living their best lives. Too many are not engaged in the political process enough to reliably get to the polls.

We all know that Kamala Harris and the Democrats have the popular support, otherwise the Right wouldn't have spent the last decade and a half initiating voter suppression tactics and frustrating disinformation.

The beauty and power of Taylor Swift's endorsement wasn't just to support Kamala, but to let her followers know that she considers it cool to voice her opinion on the matter, research the issues and candidates and punch a ballot.

Low turnout is the only achilles heel for the Harris/Walz campaign. Voters come out (or mail in) and Trump loses. Voters stay home, cover their eyes and ears, and President Joe Biden, Kamala Harris and Tim Walz's reasonable and unifying underdog campaign to celebrate freedom and democracy and the resilience of the everyman could tragically fizzle out paving the way for autocrat Trump and his corrupt cronies to weaponize the Justice Dept and wreck havoc with the NATO legacy of World Peace and the Environment.

Taylor Swift is an honorable cat-loving patroit of the highest caliber.

reply

Oh for Heaven's sake, if Taylor Swift truly did her research like she claimed she'd know that Harris's father is a Professor and Marxist and teaches Marxist Economics and has trained his baby daughter well I would imagine?? She needs to just stick to writing her awful bubblegum music for her fans and stay out of Politics

reply

I happen to believe that Kamala Harris is capable of far more than her parents, individually, were. The way she's navigated the political scene has been exemplary and awe-inspiring. Thoroughly vetted, universally endorsed, propagator of joy and vigor.

Karl Marx was a revolutionary figure in economic theory, and I would imagine his influence is discussed and taught by all manner of professors. Personally, I think he's better relegated to the status of poet philosopher of empathy, and not much more... but none of that matters to someone on the Right attempting to score cheap political points since what you're really concerned about is that the term "Marx" now has shadowy authoritarian notions. Almost as bad as an ad hominem attack. It's just a linguistic tactic to brand progressive policies as scary.

Nevertheless, the contribution of Democrats throughout the 20th Century (the first, hopefully, of many more American centuries of prosperity) was to incorporate righteous socialistic initiatives and safeguards into the framework of a capitalist system. Most of these are currently so highly valued by citizens that literally theorizing on their ruination (as in Trump's Project 2025, it does) is a recipe for campaign oblivion. The American people don't want to go back to the Gilded Age of robber baron exploitation.

reply

It makes zero difference. It is like Kid Rock endorsing Trump. The people going to swift concerts are already voting that way or they aren't voting and 3 days after the election is over the dems see they didnt vote and fill out a ballot for them.

reply

Why would anyone be swayed by woman who constantly proves in her songs that she is such a poor judge of character that she keeps falling for the wrong men?

reply

I agree with the posts here saying her endorsement of Harris does nothing. The average voter has nothing in common with a Billionaire Pop Princess and we see with our owns eyes America is in shambles and Kamala Harris would be a continuation of the Biden Regime.

reply

Its a shame that the Republican party has not prepared a viable alternative , like putting forth an educated man with an understanding of economics and other suitable skills .

Instead they have this joke candidate from TV, who'se every attribute is the complete opposite of what would make a suitable President.

reply

Just think... If MAGAs picked a younger, smarter and educated candidate for president then they probably would have won in November. Now MAGA's are stuck with a dementia patient who is way too old to be president and convicted of 34 felonies. Good luck with that!

reply

You were saying?
MAGA 2024 🇺🇲

reply

I stand by that
As far as I am concerned the following is still true:
" joke candidate from TV, who'se every attribute is the complete opposite of what would make a suitable President."

I guess the only difference is that Trump turned out to be "viable" enough to be elected - which is just mindbogglingly massive fail on the part of the dems.
It is the biggest ever definitive all time classic example of "Snatching defeat from the Jaws of victory"
What should have been a walk in the park has become a massive own-goal. ( AGAIN!)

reply

Yeah but see?? It didn't have to be like this and if Biden hadn't a just given Harris the Nomination and instead, held a Primary with other candidates to decide with Harris included, it might've turned our different. I do think Harris's running mate choice was questionable as she should've went with Shapiro. One thing is certain, don't count on another female candidate after this mess because America won't stand for this sort of shit

reply

Yeah good points .
I guess it comes down to Joe not gtfo the way early enough and it was all a bit of a rush after that.

reply

She had 2 months to do this and what killed it for her was lack of confidence as evident why on earth she never held a Press Conference to announce her being nominated and then, waited 2 months to finally do an interview at the last minute and it was too late. Oprah had to be paid $1 Million and possibly more to endorse this woman. Why does a Super Billionaire need over $1 Million to endorse this woman unless deep down, she just didn't believe in her?? Turning down an interview with Joe Rogan, a man who reaches something like 50 Million viewers also didn't help and instead, she goes on the "Call Your Daddy" Podcast
